Parking Practice: the homepage

Parking Practice is an interactive 3D browser-based driving simulator designed to help beginner drivers and driving test candidates master essential parking maneuvers. The platform offers six parking drills including parallel parking, reverse bay parking, angled bay parking, and S-curve exercises, all run directly in a web browser with no downloads required.

The simulator provides real-time coaching guidance with step-by-step prompts that guide steering, braking, and gear shifts, plus collision and accuracy tracking that counts every curb touch and direction change. Learners can switch between three camera angles—chase, top-down, and driver's seat—to understand vehicle geometry and spatial positioning. The platform supports keyboard, touchscreen, and gamepad controls across laptops, tablets, and phones.

Users get 30 free minutes of practice per month (up to 5 minutes daily) on three drills without signing up. Paid subscriptions unlock all six drills, unlimited practice time, and complete practice history with personal bests and success-rate tracking. The simulator is designed as a supplemental learning tool for driving test preparation, teaching reference points and vehicle positioning before real-world instruction.

Questions and answers

Is it free, and do I need an account?

You get 30 free minutes of practice a month (up to 5 minutes daily) on three drills with no sign-up required. If you want all six drills, unlimited practice time, and progress tracking, paid subscription plans are available.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes, the simulator supports touchscreen controls in addition to keyboard and gamepad input, so phones and tablets work fine. A larger screen makes the overhead view easier to read, but it is not required.

Will this help me pass my driving test?

The simulator targets the reference points, steering timing, and vehicle positioning that examiners look for, so you arrive at your lesson already knowing the sequence. However, it cannot teach clutch control or real observation habits, so treat it as preparation, not a substitute for lessons.

What are reference points, and why do they matter?

Reference points are fixed visual cues like bumper alignments and curb position in your mirror that tell you when to turn instead of making you estimate distance. While the type of cue is the same in any car, the exact reference point shifts slightly with seat height and car size, which is why the drill teaches you to find yours.

Can I practice for left-hand-traffic countries?

Yes. Select 'Drive on the left' on the start screen and the entire scene mirrors: you sit on the right, reverse into bays and kerbside spaces on your left, and every coaching prompt swaps sides to match. Dedicated UK and Australia pages default to left-hand driving.
