Hanzi Sheets

Hanzi Sheets is a free, no-sign-up worksheet generator for families and classrooms teaching children written Chinese. Users can paste any Chinese text which is automatically split into whole words, type their own word list, or choose vocabulary from HSK 2.0/3.0, YCT 1-4, and topic packs.

The tool generates printable writing practice sheets with customizable grid styles (tian, mi, jing, or plain), paper sizes (A4 or US Letter in portrait or landscape), and a choice of pinyin or zhuyin pronunciation labels. Users can adjust the ratio of tracing grids to blank spaces and include stroke-order strips. A dictation quiz template prints only pronunciation and meanings, letting students write characters from memory with an optional answer key.

It supports both Simplified and Traditional Chinese, with Traditional mode using traditional stroke-order data and zhuyin labels. All content runs in the browser with no account required, so user text and mistake-book annotations never leave their device. The Free plan allows 3 worksheets per day with up to 30 characters per sheet. Pro ($19/year early bird, then $29/year) removes the daily limit and character cap (200 characters per sheet), unlocks downloadable mistake-book review sheets, and provides one-click generation from the full word-list library.
