Getting started with the API

Nexaro Launch exposes launch data and your account through a REST API at /api/v1. Full schema is available at /api/v1/openapi.json in OpenAPI 3.1 format. See /developers for complete documentation.

Connecting an AI assistant

AI assistants including Claude and ChatGPT can query Nexaro Launch directly over MCP at /mcp. Your assistant gains the ability to search active launches, read full listing details, and—with your explicit permission—draft and modify listings on your behalf.

Authentication

You can authenticate in two ways:

OAuth sign-in: Your AI assistant will direct you to a browser login on this site, then return access to Nexaro Launch.
API key: Generate a key in /account/developers. Keys display once only; we retain only a hash, so store yours securely. Use this for direct API calls or to authorise your assistant offline.

Important constraints

Rate limits and daily quotas apply to all API requests. Voting is not available through the API; community ranking on Nexaro Launch remains vote-driven only. When you initiate a purchase via API, the system returns a checkout link—all billing happens on this site, not through third-party integrations.
